The Notebook is a secret item in Pressure, serving as a consumable awarded for beating the 2024 April Fools Event in Evil Mode.

It can be purchased the Pre-round Shop by the players who earned the "Not Very Studious" badge, or in the Gambling Room for 2500 Research.

Usage

When used, the player is prompted to answer 3 simple arithmetic math problems (being either addition, subtraction, or multiplication). If answered correctly, the book is consumed and the player is awarded two random items, as well as healing 30 HP. If they fail one math problem the book disappears without giving a reward.

Notes

• The notebook itself cannot be dropped, even if you die with it in your inventory. You can however drop the items the notebook provides.
• The notebook cannot be used underwater.
• Typing an answer while in motion will lock the user into moving in the direction they were going until the math problems are done or you click anywhere else on the screen.
• While solving the math problems music will play which can be heard by other nearby players.

Pros & Cons

Pros

• Provides two random items, including rare ones, if all math problems are solved correctly.
• Heals 30 health points
• One of only 3 ways to get Splorglight (the other ways are the Deep Sea Bunnies and the Gambling Room)

Cons

• Failing a math problem destroys the notebook with no reward.
• During testing it would’ve required the evil button test winner badge to acquire, which is now unobtainable.
• One time use only.
• Only gives one notebook when bought in the Pre-Round Shop.
• Music plays when used therefore muffling sounds made by other monsters.

Trivia

• Unlocking the "Not Very Studious" badge was the only way to unlock the Notebook in the Pre-round Shop, which required the player to escape the Hadal Blacksite after getting all the notebooks wrong during the 2024 April Fools Event.
  • This is no longer achievable as the event ended soon after its launch, making the Notebook one of the rarest items in the game.
• The notebook item is functionally identical to the school notebooks in the 2024 April Fools Event Grand Encounters, with a noticeable difference being the inclusion of multiplication problems and an item reward for completing the math problems correctly.
• Currently, the inventory icon for the notebook is Hoppy Hopscotch from Poppy Playtime. This is most likely a placeholder.
  • The same image of Hoppy Hopscotch can be found outside of the lobby as an Easter Egg. It is a transparent decal invisible from the spawn but that can be seen from the other side, which can only be reached by glitching out of the map.
